The Valley of the Temples

The Valley of the Temples is undoubtedly the impressive testimony of Magna Graecia in Sicily. Since 1997 it has been included in the list of World Heritage Sites drawn up by UNESCO. The park that gathers it is the largest archaeological park in the world: about 1300 hectares. The Valley of the Temples gathers ten Doric temples, three sanctuaries and several necropolis: Montelusa, Moses, Pezzino, Roman necropolis and tomb of Theron, Paleochristian and Acrosoli.

Pergolas Realmonte beach

Realmonte's Pergole Beaches, located in the beautiful coastal stretch between Siculiana Marina and Realmonte, are dominated by a promontory on which stands the beautiful Monterosso Tower, dating from the first half of the 16th century. These are many small sandy coves abutting striking chalk cliffs overlooking the sea, separated from each other by promontories sculpted by wind and sea, made of the same yellow sandstone with which the Doric temples of Agrigento were built.
